What does a WordPress maintenance plan actually include?+
Scheduled core, theme, and plugin updates; daily off-site backups; uptime and security monitoring; routine performance checks; and a monthly report. The higher plans add malware cleanup, a staging site, WooCommerce monitoring, and a block of hands-on edit time. The goal is simple: your site stays current, fast, and online without you having to think about it.
Do I really need maintenance? My host already does updates.+
Hosts auto-update some things, but auto-updates are also exactly how sites silently break: a plugin update conflicts with your theme, a page stops rendering, and nobody notices for a week. Maintenance is the human layer on top: someone who applies updates carefully, watches for the breakage, and rolls it back when it happens. The host keeps the lights on. We keep the site working.
What happens if my site goes down or gets hacked?+
Downtime trips our monitoring and we are already on it, usually before you have noticed. For a compromised site we clean the infection, restore from a known-good backup, find how they got in, and harden that entry point so it doesn't happen again. Emergencies jump the queue on every plan; the higher plans come with a priority response window.
Will you fix a site that is already broken or already hacked?+
Yes. A lot of plans start exactly there. We will quote the cleanup or repair as a one-time job, get the site back to a healthy baseline, and then you can move onto a monthly plan so it stays that way. You don't need a perfect site to sign up; that is rather the point.
Am I locked into a long contract?+
No. Plans are month to month and you can cancel any time with no exit fee. There is no setup charge and no annual commitment. We would rather keep your business by doing good work than by trapping you in a term you regret.
Do you keep your own backups, separate from my host?+
Yes. Backups run on a schedule and are stored off-site, so a host outage or a hack can't take your site and your only safety net at the same time. We test that restores actually work rather than assuming the backup is good, which is the part most people skip until the day it matters.
Can you maintain a WooCommerce store?+
Yes, that is what the Pro plan is built for. Stores have more moving parts, run more plugins, and an outage costs real money, so they get checkout monitoring, a staging site so updates never go straight to a live store, and priority response. We treat your store like the revenue source it is.
Do the edit hours roll over if I don't use them?+
The monthly edit time is there for the small jobs: a content change, a new form field, a layout fix. It resets each month rather than banking indefinitely, but if you have a bigger change in mind we will quote it separately and fairly. We will never burn your hours on busywork to run down the clock.
Can you maintain a custom or heavily customized site?+
Yes. We build custom WordPress plugins ourselves, so a non-standard setup doesn't scare us. During onboarding we map out what is custom, document it, and factor it into how we update and test, so a routine update never quietly breaks the bespoke part of your site.
